Story Synopsis:

VOLK is a cyberpunk espionage thriller that takes you into the dystopian near future of 2037; where humanity is in the midst of a technological renaissance that is being directly manipulated by wealthy elitist interests with their own personal agenda. This is a future where the banks and corporations have full undisputed control of entire nations. No one dares to question their multi-trillion dollar supremacy, let alone stand in the way of their ulterior motives for maintaining control and keeping the people divided. Even military and law enforcement no longer serve the purpose they once did. They are now glorified bodyguards and security officers for those with power, money and influence, leaving the rest of the population to fend for themselves.
Many citizens armed up as best they could, others banded together to create militant groups ... However, most of them were forced to rely on independent military contractors known as Ronin to help them stay safe and dispense justice around their neighborhoods.
These Ronin contractors would offer a wide array of services for a price. A lot of them would even dare to take jobs targeting executives, corporations, government and military officials, even banking cartels. Among these contractors, there is one in particular that is motivated and driven by reasons beyond any materialistic compensation or personal vendetta.
Vincent Volk is one of the most dangerous and skilled Ronin contractors there is, however, when his most recent contract goes FUBAR in the most unexpected way possible, the contractor must improvise and adapt to salvage the situation and hopefully avoid confronting a much more troublesome issue than just a disgruntled client.
Tormented by the mysteries of his past and the secrets of his true identity, Vincent Volk will stand against entire governments, and his own sanity if need be, to get the answers he seeks.
