If there's one thing that will always fascinate any comic book reader, it's stories that spin-off other classic works to the point where the story feels fresh and enjoyable. Robyn is one of those stories. Pulling homages from the famous Robin Hood tales, Robyn tells the story of a young archer who may be biting more than she can chew.

I have not previously encountered this series but I'm really enjoying the character design and the plot seems like it has a lot of room to grow, the pacing is great. My one criticism is that the text boxes don't feel like a part of the design. It feels like the page layout was planned and illustrated and then the text placement, type etc was added in on top. I grant that it could be an intentional choice but it's a drawback for me as it often feels jarring.
