In the last week of August 2011 DC brought their existing line of titles to an end and replaced them with a line of 52 first issues that takes place in a new post-Flashpoint universe.
A New 52 initiative book written by Paul Cornell starring a team set in the medieval ages of the DC Universe, consisting of established characters like Etrigan the Demon, Vandal Savage, Madame Xanadu and Shining Knight as well as new characters like Horsewoman and Al Jabr.
In common with the other 'new 52' titles, #1 sold out and a 2nd printing #1 soon followed. Low sales later on saw the title cancelled with #23.
The entire 23 issue run is collected in three Trade Paper Back collections:
Demon Knights: Seven Against the Dark (#1-7)
Demon Knights: The Avalon Trap (#0,8-12)
Demon Knights: The Gathering Storm (#13-23)
