Story Synopsis:
People are as sparse as land. Technology has become redundant. Violence is spreading.
Skyscrapers are now the stepping stones. The passing places for the last remaining survivors.
Charles and his son are trying to find a place called home. A dream that is a far reach from the nightmare that faces them both.

Like a reimagining of Cormac McCarthy's The Road set in a world engulfed by a global flood, Boat Volume 1 is a truly wonderful tale with beautiful, restrained artwork that gives this book a powerful emotional punch. Bleak and sombre in tone, yet beautiful in execution, Boat is a brilliant example of everything great about the comics medium. Moving, harrowing and superb.
